VERIZON, the official telecommunications services sponsor of the FIFA World Cup 2026, has teamed up with David Beckham and an all-star line-up including Tim Howard, Alyssa and Gisele Thompson, Hirving Lozano, Sergio Agüero, and more to launch Verizon Ultimate Access for the tournament.
As part of the initiative, Verizon will provide customers with thousands of free match tickets and the chance for hundreds to enjoy exclusive pitchside access during the tournament. In the build-up to the World Cup, Verizon and its roster of football stars will also deliver a series of surprises, special events, merchandise collaborations, and more.
The first drop of free tickets will go live on Thursday, 2 October, at 9:00 AM EST, available for US customers on a first-come, first-served basis through the My Verizon app via Verizon Access. Further ticket drops will take place in the run-up to the World Cup, with announcements made in the app and on Verizon.com/Access.
In addition, hundreds of customers will win “Golden Tickets”, offering pitchside access to matches. The sweepstakes to win Golden Tickets will launch in November, with additional giveaways planned at activations ahead of the tournament.
Beckham said, “For me, there are few things as exciting as experiencing football live, whether that’s on or off the pitch, and so I am proud to partner with Verizon to celebrate their plans to give fans unprecedented access to the tournament.”
Verizon chief marketing officer Leslie Berland added, “The World Cup is the biggest sports event in the world and the fandom is unlike any other. We knew we wanted to deliver access and experiences to our customers that are once in a lifetime. Our customers will get access throughout the World Cup – Beckham-style, with surprises, events and giveaways along the way.”
