Asian Paints unveils ‘Meri Wali Blue’, celebrating India’s women cricketers

ASIAN PAINTS has launched its latest campaign, ‘Meri Wali Blue,’ a heartfelt continuation of its iconic Mera Wala Blue narrative. This new chapter celebrates India’s women cricketers and the families who passionately support them from home, extending the spirit of unity and pride that cricket evokes across the nation.

Drawing from the brand’s powerful Har Ghar Blue philosophy, the campaign beautifully captures how cricket may be played on the field, but its soul lives within Indian homes — in the cheers, emotions, and shared moments that bring people together.

The film traces the journey of a blue jersey from the shade and fabric carefully chosen by a tailor to its journey through everyday Indian life. It dries in balconies, gets ironed with care, and finally takes pride of place in a shop window. There, a young girl spots the jersey and excitedly says, “Meri wali blue,” pointing to the one bearing Indian captain Harmanpreet Kaur’s number. The film closes with a resonant message ‘India cheers for India Wala Blue’.

Conceptualized by FCB Kinnect and brought to life by Good Morning Films, the campaign pays tribute to the enduring love for cricket and the rise of women’s sports in India. Across one main film and four shorter edits, Meri Wali Blue celebrates the pride, passion, and belief that unite every Indian home behind the women’s team.

Asian Paints MD and CEO Amit Syngle said, “Cricket in India is more than just a game. It’s a part of everyday life, something that brings families, friends and neighbours together. At Asian Paints, we have been privileged to capture this sentiment through our campaigns. With Meri Wali Blue, we are proud to extend that spirit to India’s women cricketers, who are inspiring millions with their talent, grit, and determination. This film is our tribute to them, and to every home in the country that will be cheering for them. As the love for women’s cricket grows, it marks not just a sporting milestone, but a moment for all of us to come together and celebrate what the game truly means.”

FCB Kinnect CEO Rohan Mehta said, “There’s something powerful about building on an idea that has shaped culture and giving it fresh relevance for today. What makes ‘Meri Wali Blue’ powerful is that with just a single word, it carries hope, determination, and belief for generations of women athletes to come.”
