Ganguly is brand ambassador of Bhartiya Corporate Premier League

BHARTIYA CORPORATE PREMIER LEAGUE (BCPL) has announced that Sourav Ganguly, former India captain and one of the nation’s most revered cricketing icons, will serve as its official brand ambassador for the upcoming season.

Conceptualized as India’s most prestigious and aspirational sporting platform for working professionals, BCPL aims to transcend office boundaries bringing together professionals from diverse industries to compete, collaborate, and celebrate the unifying spirit of cricket, a media release said.

The 2025 season will feature 10 city-based teams comprising employees and professionals from across the country, who will compete for the coveted BCPL Championship title.

The appointment of Ganguly underscores the league’s commitment to excellence and leadership. His trailblazing captaincy and fearless approach to the game mirror the values at the heart of BCPL’s vision.

The upcoming season will also feature a prize purse of Rs 3 crore. In a move that further professionalises the competition, players will be selected through a franchise-style team auction, with salaries ranging from Rs 2 lakh to Rs 15 lakh per season.

Ganguly said, “I have always believed that the lessons learned on a sports field are invaluable in any professional sphere—teamwork, handling pressure, and the zeal to win.
