NEW DELHI: US-based sports marketing and media agency Playfly Sports Tuesday announced a new partnership with Sports For All (SFA), which lays claim to being India’s largest tech-enabled multi-sport grassroots competition platform, to introduce SFA’s profile on a global scale.
Playfly’s efforts will introduce SFA Championships to global markets, to contribute to the growth of school sports, through sponsorships. In the next five years, SFA Championships are envisaged to orchestrate close to 150 Championships, across 50 cities.
“The Playfly & Sports For All partnership marks a significant expansion by Playfly into international markets, and a significant addition to our work in youth and high school athletics,” said Mike Schreiber, founder and CEO of Playfly. “We are delighted to work with the SFA team in building on such an important mission – to bring the joy and competition of sports to adolescents across the globe.”
Playfly will be responsible for integrating corporate sponsors to support SFA Championships, where over 15,000 school athletes compete in more than 30 sporting categories, from one city, at one Championship. The partnership will lean on Playfly’s expertise in multimedia rights and corporate sponsorships of high school athletic associations across the United States, and build on SFA’s network of over 5,000 schools across India, to bolster new revenue streams via SFA’s sports competitions and sponsorship platform.
“SFA and Playfly share the combined goal to support youth development by democratizing access to sports and create opportunities for corporate sponsors to gain access to untapped markets, as well as audiences. Combining surging participation and relentless talent discovery, SFA is building a platform for India’s dream to Olympics, as a sporting powerhouse,” said SFA founder Vishwas Choksi. “The partnership with Playfly Sports is a milestone in our expansion, showcasing the transformative strength of sports.”
SFA was founded in 2015 by Choksi and Rishikesh Joshi, two friends who connected through their love for sports and a desire to create an equitable and sustainable youth sports ecosystem. As part of this endeavour, SFA launched its flagship IP SFA Championships, India’s largest professional multi-sport, inter-school championships for ages three-18 years. With a technology-led approach at its core, SFA enables the entire grassroots sports ecosystem via SFAPLAY.COM, a platform designed to empower stakeholders via statistics, data, analytics, match videos, performance management, and competition management systems.
Playfly currently manages corporate partnerships and multimedia rights for 15 statewide high school athletic associations in the US within its Playfly Sports Properties division. The partnership with SFA will bring and welcome new corporate sponsors to support SFA Championships, throughout the year, and expand its reach across both India and other international youth sporting competitions and organizations.
