MUMBAI: The stage is set for the inaugural edition of the Premier Handball League, which will see the Rajasthan Patriots taking on the Maratha Ironmen in the first-ever match on Thursday, 8th June, at 7:00 PM followed by Garvit Gujarat facing the Telugu Talons at 8:30 PM.
Six teams, including Delhi Panzers and Golden Eagles Uttar Pradesh, will battle it out in the inaugural season to be held at the Sawai Mansingh Indoor Stadium in Jaipur with the finale on June 25. Each squad will have 17 players, 14 Indians and three foreigners. The six teams will compete in a round-robin format of 30 matches. After the league stage, there will be three knockout matches to determine the champion.
