Haryana Steelers, the champions of Pro Kabaddi League 11, Tuesday announced the launch of their new franchise – Junior Steelers.
The youth team features players between the age group of 23 and 25, underscoring the club’s commitment to nurturing young kabaddi talent from the different parts of the country.
As the reigning champions of PKL continue to build on its legacy of success, the launch of the Junior Steelers will allow emerging players to gain experience and exposure in a competitive environment.
The Junior Steelers recently made a promising debut at the Yuva All Stars Championship 2025, winning two and drawing one out of the three matches they have played so far. The team will look to keep the momentum going in an 11-team tournament in Haridwar.
Guiding the Junior Steelers is the highly respected coach, Dilbagh Singh, a revered figure in the kabaddi community known for his ability to nurture champion players and instil a winning mindset. Under his leadership, the team will train to learn the discipline and skills needed to win the championship.
Joining the Junior Steelers’ are three promising new young players (NYPs) — Sahil Narwal, Vikas Jadhav, and Manikandan N— who were also a part of the Haryana Steelers’ PKL 11 winning squad alongside another talent, defender Manikandan S.
Expressing his excitement for the tournament, Divyanshu Singh, CEO of Haryana Steelers, said: “The launch of Junior Steelers is an investment in our future.
