30 NFL clubs in Forbes 2022 Top 50 list of most valuable teams

Forbes has released its 2022 list of the top 50 most valuable sports teams in the world, with the NFL continuing to dominate. Thirty of the 32 teams in the NFL are in the Forbes top 50.

Real Madrid remains the most valuable football team in the world alongside LaLiga rivals Barcelona. Manchester United are the highest placed Premier League team.

NFL giants Dallas Cowboys tops the charts with a valuation of $8 billion. New England Patriots are second with a valuation of $6.4 billion, while Los Angeles Rams are third ahead of Major League Baseball side New York Yankees, who are tied with the New York Giants. NBA sides New York Knicks and Golden State Warriors also make the top 10 cut. 

According to the Forbes list, Real Madrid are the most valuable football club in the world and 13th among the world’s most valuable sports teams. The reigning LaLiga and Champions League holders are valued at $5.1bn, while rivals Barcelona are a close second with a valuation of $5bn and 15th overall. 

Manchester United are the only other football team in the top 20, making the Premier League side the highest-ranked English sporting organisation. Other football clubs that featured in the top 50 list of the most valuable sports teams in the world include Liverpool, Bayern Munich, and Manchester City.
