Unacademy CMO Karan Shroff puts in his papers

MUMBAI: After the lay-offs, comes a top executive exit. Karan Shroff, partner and chief marketing officer at Unacademy, has decided to move on from the ed-tech company after a three-year association.

Shroff took to LinkedIn to announce his departure from Unacademy, stating: “I will be hanging my boots at Unacademy. Over 3 years of memories, tons of awards, a great team that taught me a lot and a journey that I will always cherish.

“I would like to thank everyone that helped in this chapter of life and I’m extremely grateful to everyone in the industry for their support in helping make #Unacademy the brand it is today.”

Shroff joined Unacademy as VP Marketing in September 2019, and was elevated to the role of CMO in 2020. He was announced as a partner in the following year.

Shroff joined Unacademy from Xiaomi India, where he was head of Brand Marketing.

He has also had stints at Herbalife International India, Bertelsmann, Wizcraft International Entertainment and Pixies Events.
