MUMBAI: Sky Sports of the UK and SuperSport of South Africa have been added to the handful of parties that have picked up the Invitation To Tender (ITT) document for the media rights of the Indian Premier League (IPL).
Sources within the Board of Control for Cricket in India, have confirmed to Cricbuzz that Star India Pvt Ltd, Viacom 18 Media Private Limited, Sony Pictures Networks India Private Limited, Amazon Seller Services Pvt Ltd, Zee Entertainment Enterprises Limited, Sporta Technologies Pvt Ltd (Dream 11), Supersport International Pty Ltd and Sky UK Ltd are the confirmed parties who have taken the ITT documents, the cost of which is a non-refundable Rs 25 lakh.
The big names missing from the list provided to Cricbuzz though are Indian telecom majors Reliance Jio and Bharti Airtel. SportzPower would be highly surprised if the two entities have not yet bought the ITT.
The ITT will be available for purchase till May 10.
