BEVERLY HILLS, CA: Global sports and entertainment company Endeavor Friday announced the appointment of Romola Ratnam as SVP, head of Impact and Inclusion.
In this role, Ratnam will oversee all of Endeavor’s corporate social responsibility efforts, including diversity, equity, inclusion and social impact globally, based out of Los Angeles.
Ratnam joined Endeavor in September 2017, tasked with leveraging the company’s vast network to drive social change. Her contributions include debuting a slate of industry access programs delivering more than 100 hours of live programming to 22,500 participants and bringing talent from underrepresented groups into the Endeavor network; as well as forming two groundbreaking partnerships with Color of Change to drive racial and social justice within Endeavor and its industries: #ChangeHollywood with Michael B. Jordan, and #ChangeFashion with the Black in Fashion Council and Joan Smalls.
Additionally, she leads Endeavor’s annual, company-wide day of service, which sees 7,000 employees contribute 30,000+ hours of community service to local communities each year, and manages the Endeavor Foundation, Endeavor’s dedicated 501(c)(3). Ratnam also consults on and implements philanthropic strategies and initiatives for WME and IMG clients.
“Romola is a passionate and tenacious executive whose persistence and creativity have seen her build pathways that never existed before,” said Mark Shapiro, president of Endeavor. “We could not be prouder of what she has accomplished thus far, and know she is the ideal leader to define and deliver on our global corporate social responsibility efforts moving forward.”
Prior to working for Endeavor, Ratnam served as the director of Corporate and Sports Partnership at UNICEF USA and as co-executive director of the SEED Project, a sports and education non-profit based in Senegal. She started her career at the National Basketball Association in Global Business Development, with a focus on NBA Cares and international programing.
