ABU DHABI: The 2021 Abu Dhabi T10 season (carried over from 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic), which was held from 28 January to 06 February earlier this year, recorded an 83.91% percent rise in the overall audience from the 2019 season – from 92.6 million (TV & OTT), to 170.3 million, the organisers assert.
The T10 tournament also saw a 38.52% rise in net sponsorship value as compared to the valuation in the 2019 season. Along with its sponsors, which include Host City Partners – Abu Dhabi Dept. of Culture & Tourism, Abu Dhabi Sports Council & Abu Dhabi Cricket; Powered by Wolf777 News, Dream 11, Vimal, Rario & Sin Denim; Broadcast Partners – Viacom 18 (India) and Rise WorldWide (Global media) and Newspaper Partner – Khaleej Times, the Abu Dhabi T10 will strive for even bigger heights when it returns for another season in November-December 2021.
Speaking about the evolution of the Abu Dhabi T10, Shaji Ul Mulk, chairman, T10 Sports Management said: “The Abu Dhabi T10 has certainly caught the eye of all cricket fans around the world. The massive rise in the overall broadcast audience and sponsorship valuation shows the kind of excitement and thrill the tournament provides every year. While we are happy to see the huge audience numbers, we are not satisfied yet. We will try to extend our reach even more during the upcoming season of the Abu Dhabi T10 in November-December this year.”
