adidas Originals launches 1st India collab with Ranveer Singh Superstar edition

ADIDAS ORIGINALS HAS unveiled its first-ever India co-created sneaker in collaboration with brand ambassador Ranveer Singh, marking a significant milestone in the brand’s localisation strategy and its engagement with India’s growing sneaker culture.

Per an official release, the limited-edition drop reimagines the iconic Adidas Superstar silhouette through Ranveer Singh’s personal lens of identity and expression. Positioned as adidas Originals’ first hyperlocal statement from India, the release reflects the brand’s effort to bring a distinctly Indian perspective to its global design language.

Inspired by Singh’s “spirit animal”, the Royal Bengal Tiger, the sneaker incorporates bold black-and-white tones with tiger-inspired detailing across the signature three stripes. The design also features a bespoke ‘Ranveer Singh’ insignia and jewel-like accents, adding depth, texture, and dramatic intensity to the classic silhouette.

The launch is supported by a campaign set in an urban jungle, exploring themes of instinct, individuality, and duality—mirroring both the spirit of the tiger and the ethos of originality that defines the Superstar legacy.
