MUMBAI: The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) on Tuesday announced cash rewards for all the players, coaches and other support staff who were a part of India’s first ever Test series win in Australia recently.
Players who featured in the playing XI will receive Rs 1.5 million each per Test (Rs 6 million for the 4 Test series) while the reserve players stand to earn Rs 750,000 per Test game.
The coaching staff will also reap benefits from India’s performances, as the likes of Ravi Shastri, Sanjay Bangar, Bharat Arun and M Sridhar will earn Rs 2.5 million each.
The non-coaching support staff such as physio Patrick Farhart will receive the same amount as his pro-rata salary.
