The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has given Rs 8.5 crores ($1 million) to the Indian Olympic Association (IOA) towards preparations for the upcoming Paris Olympics 2024.
“I am proud to announce that the @BCCI will be supporting our incredible athletes representing #India at the 2024 Paris Olympics. We are providing INR 8.5 Crores to the IOA for the campaign. To our entire contingent, we wish you the very best. Make India proud! Jai Hind!” Shah wrote on X (Previously known as Twitter) while confirming the news.
BCCI secretary Jay Shah made the announcement on X: “I am proud to announce that the @BCCI will be supporting our incredible athletes representing #India at the 2024 Paris Olympics. The Paris Olympics will begin on July 26, with as many as 117 athletes from India set to compete for medals.
