Burger King kicks of brand campaign with MI

MUMBAI: This year, Burger King joins big league of cricket frenzy in India with the launch of a targeted brand campaign and a partnership with reigning IPL champions the Mumbai Indians. 

Burger King has associated with the popular IPL franchise to become the exclusive category partner for the Mumbai Indians, who will sport the Burger King logo as part of their outfits.

Taking forward their partnership, Burger King will also initiate a program, namely “Sixes for Kings”, where they will donate meals equivalent to the number of sixes hit by Mumbai Indians players across the season to a charitable cause. Additionally, Burger King will bring select fans closer to Mumbai Indians players through a digital engagement programme at an outlet in Mumbai.

Commenting on the new partnership and value offering, Kapil Grover, CMO, Burger King India said: “The Indian Premiere League is the most celebrated annual festival in cricket and we could not have asked for a more exciting start to our 2018 brand campaign!”

A Mumbai Indians spokesperson said: “This edition of the IPL, we are endeavouring to push the boundaries to provide our fans an exciting experience through our partners. Our collaboration with Burger King adds an explosive flavour to the IPL experience, with fans getting a chance to, quite literally, taste the cricket fever. With numerous engaging opportunities and customized limited offers for Mumbai Indians fans, we are sure to have a whopper of a time with this association.“

Along with this association, Burger King will kickstart its brand campaign for the year – Great Taste at Amazing Prices. 
 
The brand TVC to promote the offer launched on Friday, with 10 and 15 second ad spots showcased across various channels during the IPL 2018 season; thereby reaching out to Hindi, Marathi, Punjabi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Malayalam speaking audiences.
