Ampverse DMI has launched the third season of its collegiate gaming talent hunt, College Rivals season 3, spanning 70 colleges across more than 20 cities. Registrations opened on 6 August, with an impressive Rs.30 lakh prize pool up for grabs.
This season introduces an exciting new BGMI squad option, enabling college students to form their own teams and compete — bringing a fresh layer of strategy, collaboration, and campus pride to the tournament.
Alongside the popular solo BGMI format and fan favourites such as EA Sports FC25 and Valorant, College Rivals season 3 will tap into the growing popularity of chess as an esports discipline. For the first time, chess will debut as an official demonstrative sport. The nationwide tour, featuring both online and offline events, kicks off in Delhi NCR on 11 August, with the action broadcast across around 20 live streams.
Building on the record-breaking success of season 2 — which achieved an impressive reach of 110 million and over two lakh registrations — College Rivals now enters its third season with ambitious expansion plans. For the first time, the tournament will extend its footprint into East India.
Additionally the season launch will be supercharged by a nationwide campaign in collaboration with gaming powerhouses LolzZz, Shreeman Legend, Mizo, and Zgod. Leveraging their massive online followings, these influencers might ignite excitement through exclusive content drops, livestreams, and on-campus appearances that will rally student communities like never before.
