Disney Star pitching Rs30l per 10-sec ad spot for CWC final: Report

ICC Cricket World Cup 2023 host broadcaster Disney Star is reportedly looking to sell its remaining unsold television advertisement inventory for Sunday’s dream final between India and Australia for as much as Rs 30 lakh per 10-second ad spot. 

A number of media buyers told The Economic Times that the unbeaten performance of the Indian cricket team has emboldened Disney Star’s business prospects.

ET reports that in the matches leading up to the knockouts, 10-second spot buys were going for an average of Rs 22-25 lakh per 10-second spot for India games and Rs 9-10 lakh per ten second spot for advertisers who had picked up inventory for the entire tournament.

Disney Star is airing the cricket World Cup matches on Star Sports channels in a number of languages, including English, Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, and Kannada. 

India face off against Australia in the final of the World Cup at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on Sunday, November 19. India defeated New Zealand to book its spot in the finals while Australia got past South Africa in the semi-final played Thursday.
