Formula 2 & Formula 3 unveil 2026 calendars

Formula 2 and Formula 3 have revealed their 2026 calendars.

F2 is set to continue supporting Formula 1 during 14 rounds next season, while F3 will join both at 10 events.

Both championships will join F1 in kicking off their 2026 campaigns in Melbourne, Australia on March 6-8, before heading to the Bahrain International Circuit for Round 2 from April 10-12.

Formula 2’s trip to Sakhir is the start of their first back-to-back of the season with Jeddah next up on the calendar from April 17-19.

Formula 3 rejoins both Championships in Europe, for its third round and F2’s fourth, in Monaco on June 4-7, before making the trip to Barcelona, Spain, a week later from June 12-14.

The action resumes in Spielberg, Austria, on June 26-28, followed by a trip to Silverstone, UK, a week later, for Round 7 for F2 and Round 6 for F3, from July 3-5.

Spa-Francorchamps kicks off another back-to-back for both championships from July 17-19, before a trip to Budapest at the Hungaroring on July 24-26.

The summer break is followed by a return to action at Monza, Italy, for what will be F2’s 10th round and F3’s ninth, from September 4-6.

That trip to the Temple of Speed is the start of another double with a maiden trip to Madrid, Spain, next on the calendar from September 11-13, the Spanish venue playing host to Formula 3’s final round of the season.

Formula 2’s campaign will continue on in Baku, Azerbaijan, on September 25-27 for Round 12, before a visit to Lusail, Qatar, from November 27-29.

The 14th and final round of the season will take place a week later at the Yas Marina Circuit, Abu Dhabi, on December 4-6.

“Once again, we can look forward to some fantastic F2 racing in 2026, when the series returns to 14 Grands Prix,” said Formula 1 president and CEO Stefano Domenicali.

“We welcomed four F2 drivers up to Formula 1 this year, which has demonstrated how critical the pyramid system is to the sport and its ongoing success. 2026 is going to be a great season, with exciting action, as the drivers take on the ultimate circuits, all of which have different challenges to test their skills and their abilities.

“I’m grateful to Bruno Michel and all the teams who make the series possible and the FIA, promoters, stewards and volunteers, and our partners Aramco and Pirelli who enable the races to take place. We’re all ready for a brilliant season ahead!”

FIA president Mohammed Ben Sulayem added: “The FIA Formula 2 Championship continues to prove itself as a vital platform for developing the next generation of top drivers, and the 2026 calendar reflects our commitment to delivering a competitive and globally diverse series.
