Haier scores its 1st IPL team collab as GT electronics sponsor

Haier Appliances India Thursday announced its first-ever team collaboration in the Indian Premier League by partnering with Gujarat Titans as Official Electronics Partner for the ongoing IPL 2025 season.

Per a company release, the partnership marks a significant milestone in the global home appliances major’s “continued commitment to forging deeper connections with India’s diverse and passionate cricket audience”. 

It bears noting that Haier is already engaged on-air with the IPL as the digital streaming sponsor on JioHotstar. The new association reinforces Haier’s sport-o-tainment strategy, placing the brand at the center of one of India’s most dynamic and celebrated sporting events. 

The partnership enables Haier to enhance brand visibility, foster authentic engagement, and connect more deeply with digitally savvy consumers across the country.

Haier Appliances India looks to become a USD 2 billion sales company in the next 3-4 years on the back of a high double-digit growth powered by expansion in product category and channels, according to a top official.

The home appliances maker has earmarked an investment of over Rs 1,000 crore between 2024-2028 to set up new AC Production and Injection Molding Units. It has already ploughed in Rs 2,400 crore in its plants at Pune and Greater Noida so far.

Over the years, Haier India has actively reinforced its commitment to sport-o-tainment by partnering with some of the world’s most prestigious sporting platforms, including the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup, the IPL, and Roland-Garros (French Open). These high-impact associations have played a pivotal role in strengthening Haier’s brand visibility, building emotional resonance with sports-loving consumers, and driving deeper engagement across diverse audience segments.
