MUMBAI: The Indian Premier League governing council (IPL GC) Thursday announced RuPay, the flagship product of National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI), as an official partner of the IPL in a two-year agreement that kicks off with the upcoming 2022 edition, which begins 26th March.
With the onboarding of India’s global card payment network, IPL’s official partner (associate sponsorship) count now stands at six. Alongside RuPay, there is Dream11, Unacademy, Cred, Upstox and Swiggy Instamart 3.
Aside from the official partners, there is of course title sponsor Tata Group, in addition to umpire partner Paytm and strategic time-out partner CEAT.
