JIOSTAR HAS RELEASED the second film in its campaign for Season 12 of the Pro Kabaddi League (PKL), titled “Ghus Kar Maarenge.” The cinematic spot features action star Tiger Shroff, setting the tone for the new season, which introduces a new format and innovative rules.
This marks the second instalment in the campaign series, following the first film featuring Rana Daggubati. Released in Hindi and Marathi, the film will roll out across regions ahead of PKL Season 12, which begins on National Sports Day, 29 August, live and exclusively on JioHotstar and the Star Sports Network.
Conceptualised by creative agency ZeroFifty, the adrenaline-pumping film opens with a group of agitated, thuggish neighbours confronting Tiger at the gates of his house. Unfazed, he steps out in his signature style and slowly approaches them, emulating the controlled aggression of Kabaddi players. Coming face to face with the neighbours, he defiantly declares: “Ghus kar maarne ki baatein toh sab karte hain, par yahaan hum kar ke dikhate hain” (everyone talks about going on the offensive and striking, but here we do it and show it).
JioStar spokesperson said, “This is going to be the most exciting season of Pro Kabaddi League yet. With changes in the format and gameplay that promise even more edge-of-the-seat action, we wanted a campaign and a face that embodies this elevated intensity. In Tiger Shroff we found the perfect personality and the idea of ‘Ghus Kar Maarenge’ aptly articulates the mindset of every player who steps onto the mat.”
