Juventus online store crashes hours after Ronaldo shirts go on sale

TURIN: Juventus’s online shop went down on Wednesday just hours after the Italian club released its new line of jerseys emblazoned with the number seven and the name of its latest signing, Portuguese superstar Cristiano Ronaldo, who has completed a $131.46 million transfer from Real Madrid.

The 33-year-old striker, who spent nine years with the Spanish powerhouse, is to retain the number 7 at the Turin-based side, which has won seven consecutive Serie A titles, reports Efe.

Although the Juventus online shop was down for the duration of Wednesday morning, fans were still able to go to official stores in Turin to pick up their brand new shirts.
