NBA unveils multi-platform streaming service, reimagined NBA TV

NATIONAL BASKETBALL ASSOCIATION (NBA) has announced a new multi-platform streaming service alongside a reimagined NBA TV, both set to go live on 15 October.

Accessible through the NBA App, the two platforms will deliver a continuous stream of basketball action including live games, highlights, original programming, and exclusive content positioning themselves as the ultimate global destination for basketball fans, a media release said.

At the heart of this new offering is “The Association”, a weeknight primetime basketball-cast featuring MJ Acosta-Ruiz, David Fizdale, Rudy Gay, Chris Haynes and John Wall, among other contributors. The programme will celebrate the sport, its players, and the culture surrounding it, while offering news, analysis, and storylines from across the league. It will also serve as a guide to must-watch matchups and moments in real time.

Fans will be able to watch live NBA and WNBA games on NBA TV via the NBA App, with access available through an NBA TV subscription. Additionally, games from the NBA G League will also be featured on the platform.

NBA senior vice president, head of NBA App Sara Zuckert said, “NBA TV and the NBA App are designed to be a connected, global hub for basketball coverage, delivering nonstop access to live games, original programming and exclusive behind-the-scenes content. The NBA App streaming platform will provide a seamless, always-on digital experience for fans to access 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.”
