NIKE’S AFTER DARK TOUR will return to Mumbai in 2026 as part of a seven-city global series. Designed specifically for women, the tour blends running with a night-time experience that combines sport, culture and community.
The Mumbai leg will feature a 10K race, offering local women runners the opportunity to participate alongside athletes from six other cities worldwide. Other stops in the 2026 series include London (10K), Los Angeles (half marathon), Manila (10K), Mexico City (half marathon), Shanghai (10K) and Sydney (half marathon).
The After Dark Tour, launched in 2025, has quickly built momentum among women runners. Its inaugural edition attracted more than 50,000 participants across seven races, including nearly 3,500 in India. Around one in three participants were first-time racers, while nearly half said they registered because they were drawn to a women-focused race experience.
The series extends beyond the traditional race format, incorporating pre-race events, high-energy on-course experiences and post-race celebrations. According to Nike, “Each stop extends far beyond a traditional race format, offering runners a fully immersive experience featuring curated pre‑race moments, on‑course energy and post‑race celebrations of movement, confidence and community.”
The After Dark Tour also serves as a platform to highlight Nike’s latest innovations in running, training and sportswear, designed to help women look good, feel confident and perform at their best. The brand noted that the same performance technologies developed for its elite athletes are available to everyday runners, reinforcing its belief that innovation should support athletes at every level, according to the media release.
