Nimida Sports organising 2-day sports tech webinar

BENGALURU: Nimida Sports, together with The Economic and Trade Mission, Consulate General of Israel to South India (Bangalore), are organising a series of webinars featuring some of the top sports technology companies with a focus on how cutting-edge technology can be harnessed to create effective solutions in the world of sport.

For the record, Nimida Sports is the sports arm of the Nimida Group, which owns Hero I-League 2nd Division club FC Bengaluru United.

To be held across two days – 27th and 28th April – the webinars will focus on Football Performance Enhancement, Smart Tech in Sport and Sports Science-Technology. It will feature top Israeli sports tech companies.

“We are witnessing a highly dynamic intersection between technology and sport,” said Gaurav Manchanda, founder, Nimida Sports. “As the sport grows and evolves, the way we work at it, training techniques, even the way the sport is consumed by fans is in constant flux and technology can be a great enabler in this space, providing smart solutions for enhancement and growth. Israel has been witnessing exciting developments in Sports Technology and associating with them for knowledge sharing as well as the chance to see how these solutions can be adapted in the Indian sporting scenario seemed like a natural fit for us at Nimida Sports.”

Later this year, Israel will be hosting ‘Future Sport Israel’, a sports business event focusing on breakthrough technologies coming out of the country, which will be attended by the leading global sports and media companies.

“Israel is developing a unique sports technology and has already spearheaded several innovations in this space,” said Mr Joseph Avraham, Consul for Trade and Economic Affairs, Bangalore. “We are excited to associate with Nimida Sports, who recognise the importance of working with sports-tech to create smart solutions.”
