NODWIN GAMING has announced the sale of its entire stake in the Evolution Championship Series (EVO), the fighting game tournament, to RTS, its long-standing partner in the global esports ecosystem. The move follows a long-term growth strategy for EVO that requires substantial investment to scale the platform internationally.
Although stepping away as a shareholder, NODWIN Gaming will continue to support EVO’s expansion in emerging markets as a long-term partner, contributing regional expertise, operational capabilities and deep community relationships. As EVO enters its next phase of global growth, the transition aligns the tournament with RTS’s investment-driven vision, while enabling NODWIN Gaming to sharpen its strategic focus on high-growth and emerging markets, according to the company’s media release.
Over more than two decades, EVO has grown from a grassroots community event into a leading global platform, uniting players, publishers and fans through their shared passion for fighting game esports. With further international expansion on the horizon, RTS is well placed to steer the tournament through its next stage of development.
For NODWIN Gaming, the divestment represents a considered step towards strengthening its footprint in emerging markets while maintaining financial discipline. The company returned to an EBITDA-positive position in Q3 2025 and reported a 58 per cent year-on-year increase in revenue, reaching Rs 530.3 crore for the first nine months of FY26.
NODWIN Gaming co-founder and managing director Akshat Rathee said, “EVO represents the passion, resilience, and spirit of the fighting game community, and it is a privilege for us to be part of that journey. As the platform steps into a new era of global opportunity, we see RTS as the right partner to build on its strong foundation and guide its continued evolution. For NODWIN, this is a strategic step that sharpens our focus on markets where gaming is witnessing extraordinary momentum. Our commitment to growing esports ecosystems remains unwavering, and we look forward to collaborating with RTS to bring EVO experiences to new audiences while continuing to shape the future of gaming across emerging regions.”
