PayPal is Liverpool FC’s digital payments partner

LIVERPOOL FC has announced PayPal as the club’s official digital payments partner in a new global, multi-year agreement marking PayPal’s first-ever partnership with a Premier League team.

With more than 400 million active accounts across 200 markets and support for transactions in 25 currencies, PayPal brings decades of expertise in secure and flexible digital payments. The partnership aims to enhance how Liverpool supporters interact with the club, both online and on matchdays, per the media release.

A key part of the collaboration is PayPal+, the company’s new, free loyalty program. Fans will earn reward points when using PayPal for matchday purchases, adding an extra layer of engagement to the experience. Beginning at the Blue tier, users can move up to Gold and Black tiers as they accumulate points. Higher tiers offer greater value with Gold and Black members enjoying points worth up to 50% more at checkout, alongside access to exclusive Liverpool FC benefits.

PayPal, already available across Liverpool FC’s digital channels, will now become the club’s preferred digital payment method. As part of the deeper integration, PayPal will feature more prominently during checkout on LFC’s ecommerce and All Red platforms, making transactions quicker and more seamless. PayPal branding will also be visible at Anfield and St Helens on matchdays.

The partnership will also support initiatives aimed at elevating the profile of LFC Women and expanding grassroots football programs through the LFC Foundation, helping develop emerging talent and strengthening the sport at all levels.
