Pepsi brings ICC World T20 Sri Lanka 2012 Trophy to Mumbai

Mumbai, 11 Aug, 2012: Pepsi brings the ICC World Twenty20 excitement and buzz to Mumbai with the unveiling of the trophy at the CrossRoads 2 Mall over the weekend. The coveted trophy was unveiled by none other than nation’s most loved cricket commentator, Harsha Bhogle. Pepsi is one of the global sponsors for the ICC World Twenty20 scheduled to kick start next month in Sri Lanka and this initiative by the brand aims to garner support and cheer for Team India.

Designed and manufactured by Links of London, this trophy captures the constant movement of Twenty20 play. Its unique design is based on the field dynamics of the ball being hit to the boundary and fielders returning them in an interactive process. Cricket fans can buy a Pepsi combo and get a once in a lifetime opportunity to get photographed with the trophy. After Mumbai, the trophy travels to Delhi and will be showcased at the Ambience Mall in Gurgaon.

Speaking on the association, Homi Battiwalla, Category Director – Colas, Hydration & Mango Based Beverages, PepsiCo India said, “Cricket is like religion in India and Pepsi is proud to be associated with this much popular sport. The unveiling of the trophy in Mumbai marks the beginning of the thrill and builds momentum for the up-coming World Twenty20.”

Pepsi’s association with the World Twenty20 will be celebrated by a robust 360-degree campaign that includes thematic ad-films, in-stadia amplification and digital engagement programmes.
