Viewers in India are set get their first taste of cricket broadcast delivery under the freshly minted JioStar dispensation as SA20, South Africa’s premier T20 cricket league, gears up for its third season.
Running from January 9 to February 8, fans can catch all 34 matches live on Disney+ Hotstar (Digital), Star Sports 2, and Sports18 2 (Linear TV).
The 2025 season kicks off with an opening match between defending champions Sunrisers Eastern Cape and MI Cape Town at the historic St. George’s Park. The grand finale will be hosted at Johannesburg’s Wanderers Stadium, widely regarded as one of cricket’s most celebrated venues. Evening matches begin at 9:00 PM IST, ensuring prime-time entertainment for Indian viewers, with additional weekend afternoon games (4:30 PM & 7:00 PM) catering to diverse audiences.

This season will see six teams compete for ultimate glory, with defending champions Sunrisers Eastern Cape vying for a hattrick. Other powerhouses include Durban’s Super Giants, Pretoria Capitals, Joburg Super Kings, Paarl Royals, and MI Cape Town.
Fans can look forward to performances by T20 stars like Heinrich Klaasen, Faf du Plessis, Rashid Khan, Kagiso Rabada, and David Miller, as well as emerging Proteas stars like Tristan Stubbs and Kwena Maphaka among others. A special highlight this season is Dinesh Karthik’s debut as the first Indian cricketer to participate in SA20, adding to the league’s allure for Indian fans.
