MUMBAI: Indian film stars Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif will perform at the opening ceremony of the fourth edition of the Indian Super League in Kochi on November 17, which also ties in with promotions for their upcoming film ‘Tiger Zinda Hai’.
Kochi will now host the opening ceremony and first match between Kerala Blasters and ATK, instead of Kolkata which was the venue decided earlier.
The rescheduling to Kochi’s Jawaharlal Nehru International Stadium means that the home and away matches of Kerala Blasters and ATK have been inter-changed. While Blasters will host ATK at JLN stadium in the season opener, the return leg in Kolkata between the two teams will take place on February 9.
The fourth edition of the ISL will see a total of 95 matches with ten participating teams. Bengaluru FC and Jamshedpur FC are two new additions for season 4. The 10 teams will play each other in a round-robin format in 90 games before the two-legged semi-finals in March.
