ITALIAN SPORTSWEAR BRAND Lotto has announced a collaboration with tennis icon Sania Mirza, who joins the company as both brand ambassador and chief advisor for women’s sports.
For Mirza, the partnership marks a return to a long-standing association that began when she was just 19. Well before her Grand Slam titles and career-defining milestones, Lotto recognised her individuality and self-belief, backing her not only for her potential achievements but for the confidence and character she brought to the sport even then.
In her role as chief advisor for women’s sports, Mirza will work closely with Lotto to guide and strengthen the brand’s women’s athleisure and sportswear strategy across footwear and apparel. Her focus will be on fostering a deeper sense of community and relevance for women, ensuring the brand evolves alongside them rather than simply catering to them.
Agilitas Sports, a sportswear and athleisure company, holds the exclusive rights to distribute and develop the Lotto brand in India, South Africa and Australia, having secured a 40-year licence in April 2024.
Mirza said, “Lotto believed in me at a time when I was still discovering my own voice as an athlete. Coming back now feels natural, not just as a player, but as someone who can help shape how women experience sport and movement. This role allows me to contribute beyond the court, and that makes this partnership deeply meaningful to me.”
Agilitas Group CEO Abhishek Ganguly added, “Sania represents what Lotto stands for, authenticity, confidence, and a way of engaging with sport that goes beyond results. She has always stood at the intersection of sport, culture, and community in India, shaping how a generation sees self-belief and individuality. This partnership reflects that shared philosophy.”
