SLC pitches white ball tour in iced Bangla series place: Report

Sri Lanka Cricket has reportedly approached the Board of Control for Cricket in India with a request to host a short white-ball series in August.

The reported proposal comes in the wake of the postponement of India’s tour of Bangladesh, scheduled for August, and which entailed three ODIs and three T20Is, to an as yet unspecified date in 2026.

Per Cricbuzz, SLC has proposed the same number of white ball games as India were scheduled to play in Bangladesh.

According to the cricket website, a lot will depend on its decision regarding the Asia Cup, a call that is being keenly awaited by stakeholders, particularly the Asian Cricket Council and its media rights partner Sony Pictures Networks India.

“There is a request pending from the SLC, but we have not decided on it yet. We will have to see the situation with the Asia Cup. Everything is interlinked,” an informed source told Cricbuzz.
