Sports, media & entertainment startup LegaXy launches

LegaXy, a sports, media, and entertainment company focused on talent management, eSports, and intellectual property development, has announced its launch.

The venture is co-founded by Amitesh Shah, former CEO of Shikhar Dhawan’s Da One Group and ex-COO at Yuvraj Singh Group; Aneesh Gautam, former vice president at YouWeCan Sports and Cornerstone; and Pawan Kumar Sharma, a media executive with over 20 years of experience at companies including The Walt Disney Company, Star India, and Network18.

Per a company release, LegaXy aims to provide a more structured and long-term approach to nurturing Indian athletes, artists, and creators by offering a full-service model that combines talent management with the development of media and sports IPs. The company plans to launch media intellectual properties and sports leagues to support emerging talent.

India’s growing sports and entertainment sectors have often been hindered by fragmented ecosystems and limited access to global opportunities. LegaXy intends to address these challenges by bringing greater cohesion and support to talent development.

Amitesh Shah, who leads the company as CEO, stated that the firm’s focus is to provide tools, partnerships, and purpose to help talent grow sustainably and contribute to cultural change.

LegaXy operates through five main divisions: LegaXy Elite for celebrity talent management; LegaXy Studios for content and IP development; LegaXy Merch for merchandising; LegaXy Live for live events and sports leagues; and LegaXy Learning, which offers mentorship and educational programmes.

The company has also started LegaXy Impact, an initiative aimed at supporting underrepresented groups and investing in grassroots and regional sports. Notably, the founders bring a mix of corporate leadership, sports management, and media experience, intending to build a comprehensive platform that bridges gaps in India’s sportainment ecosystem.
