STARBUCKS, the largest coffeehouse chain, has been announced as the official coffee partner of the LA28 Olympic and Paralympic Games as well as Team USA.
As Los Angeles prepares to welcome athletes and supporters from around the world, Starbucks will play a role in creating shared moments of connection and community. Special coffeehouse activations featuring the brand’s signature arabica coffee, handcrafted by its green apron partners, will form part of the Games experience.
In the Olympic and Paralympic Village, Starbucks will design a dedicated coffeehouse for athletes. Beyond the Village, the café experience will extend to competition venues, volunteer hubs and other key locations, ensuring athletes, fans and spectators alike can enjoy Starbucks coffee throughout the Games.
The partnership also includes a collaboration with NBCUniversal, supporting its coverage of both the Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games Milano Cortina 2026 and the LA28 Games. Starbucks will hold coffee exclusivity across NBCUniversal’s national Olympic and Paralympic broadcasts and will feature in premium storytelling opportunities.
Starbucks Coffee Company global chief brand officer Tressie Lieberman said, “As the Official Coffee Partner of the LA28 Games and Team USA, we are brewing more than great coffee – we are championing a global celebration. Core to our mission is a commitment to inspire and nurture the human spirit — one person, one cup, and one neighborhood at a time. Starbucks is proud to bring connection, culture, community and incredible coffee – to the world stage.”
LA28 chairperson and president Casey Wasserman added, “This is our chance to co-create a Games that will resonate for generations to come, and welcoming Starbucks to the LA28 and Team USA family marks the coming together of a world-class brand and a globally embraced event, with a shared commitment to shaping culture and community. This partnership will unite Starbucks deep connection with communities across the country with what will be one of the most iconic and powerful platforms in all of sports: the LA28 Olympic and Paralympic Games.”
