CHENNAI: The Tamil Nadu state government has reportedly issued a formal letter of approval to the Tamil Nadu Cricket Association (TNCA) to conduct the fifth edition of the Tamil Nadu Premier League (TNPL).

The official announcement to this effect is expected on Friday (July 2), and the T20 tournament will start on July 19, with the final set to be played on August 15, Cricbuzz, quoting TNPL sources, reports.

According to the cricket website, the TNCA has set some strict Covid-19 protocols for those taking part in the competition.
