After Dinnage, top BBC executive rejects Premier League CEO offer

LONDON: The Premier League’s woes of searching for a new CEO to replace Richard Scudamore continue.

Tim Davie, CEO of BBC’s commercial division, is the second person after Animal Planet global head Susanna Dinnage to turn down the sporting competition’s offer for its top job.

Davie is said to be the league’s second choice for CEO originally, as it had confirmed Dinnage as Scudamore’s successor officially back in November 2018. However, she backed out of her commitment three weeks ago, with no reasons given for the same.

At present, Premier League MD Richard Masters is running the league on an interim basis with Chelsea FC chairman Bruce Buck leading the search.
