ZURICH: FIFA’s official World Cup in Russia mobile app has been downloaded by 11 million users since December 2017. However, on Sunday, 800,000 downloads were recorded, the most for the app on a single day.
The app has already been rated No.1 in sports apps in over 60 countries, including 10 of those that will be participating in the tournament such as Australia, Argentina, Colombia, Croatia, Iran, France, Mexico, Russia, Switzerland and Spain.
The app has several features for fans that will make them engaged with the competition before, during and after the matches such as –
a) Getting to know all the 32 teams yet customizing their World Cup experience based on their favourite teams,
b) Exploring Russia and its stadiums and cities.
c) Minute-by-minute action of every match and real-time live coverage for all 64 games through FIFA’s live blog, where their 32 team reporters will be offering exclusive stories, videos, photos and on-the-ground information.
d) Accessing real-time live stats for the tournament and detailed match data, tactics and line-ups for all 64 games.
e) Casting votes for the Man of the Match
