In a high-octane blend of tradition, innovation, and unexpected star power, Glenmorangie Highland Single Malt Scotch Whisky has been announced as the Official Whisky of Formula 1.
The announcement was made with flair and humour by legendary actor Harrison Ford, who stars in Glenmorangie’s latest campaign and lends his signature understatement to the news, declaring it simply: “Nice.”
This landmark partnership brings together two global icons — Glenmorangie, a whisky brand revered for over 180 years, and Formula 1, the world’s premier motorsport celebrating its 75th anniversary this year.
The collaboration is part of a broader decade-long alliance between LVMH (Glenmorangie’s parent company) and Formula 1, reinforcing both brands’ commitment to craftsmanship, legacy, and continual reinvention.
In the new short film “Once Upon a Time in Scotland,” Ford plays himself and introduces the Glenmorangie-F1 partnership with humour and charm. The film also features the iconic Eagle Speedster Jaguar E-Type, which fans will get the chance to experience first-hand at the Formula 1 Qatar Airways British Grand Prix 2025 at Silverstone from July 4.
To celebrate trackside, Glenmorangie will offer racegoers an immersive experience complete with whisky cocktails and a photo moment inside Ford’s classic Jaguar from the campaign. Fans will be invited to recreate scenes from the film and toast to excellence in true Glenmorangie style —responsibly, of course, as the brand continues to advocate strongly for alcohol-free driving.
Glenmorangie president and CEO Caspar MacRae expressed his excitement about the union, stating: “I am thrilled to set in motion Glenmorangie’s landmark partnership with Formula 1 – the pinnacle of motor racing. We share with F1 a great pride in our heritage and an unstoppable desire to reach new heights of excellence. We look forward to spectacular performances and imaginative serves and hope our collaboration will inspire and excite racegoers throughout Formula 1’s 75th anniversary year – and beyond.”
Formula 1 chief commercial officer Emily Prazer added: “As part of our 10-year deal with LVMH, we are delighted to welcome Glenmorangie from the Moët Hennessy Maisons collection as the Official Whisky of Formula 1. We have both been mastering our craft for many years, and we share a commitment to refinement and perfection delivered over time.”
Launching at Silverstone, the historic site of the first official Formula 1 World Championship race in 1950, this new partnership promises to deliver world-class whisky moments alongside racing thrills throughout the 2025 season and beyond.
With Glenmorangie and Formula 1 now in the same fast lane, one thing is clear — heritage, horsepower, and Highland malt make for one “nice” combination.
