KRAFTON INDIA has unveiled the ‘BGMI Player Transfer Window’, a first-of-its-kind structured system designed to formalise how players join and move between esports clubs within the Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI) ecosystem.
Taking inspiration from traditional sports such as football, the Transfer Window introduces fixed periods during which clubs can make roster changes. This ensures that all transfers are conducted transparently, fairly, and in full compliance with tournament regulations. The initiative marks a major milestone in the professionalisation of BGMI Esports, fostering greater stability, accountability, and strategic team development across competitive seasons.
The first transfer window is currently open from 1 October to 15 November, with the next window scheduled for 1 April 2026.
How BGMI Player Transfer Window Works:
Each registered Club operates under a verified Owner or In-Game Leader (IGL) responsible for managing player movement approvals. All transfers are monitored by KRAFTON India to ensure fair play and regulatory compliance. Key points of the system include –
* Registered transfers can take place only during the official transfer windows
* Free agents (unaffiliated players) can join Clubs at any time
* Every transaction is logged, verified, and tracked to maintain transparency
* Log in using registered credentials
* Heading to the “My Teams” section
* Invite or remove players or accept join requests
* Submit roster for verification
Once approved, Clubs become eligible to participate in upcoming official and sanctioned third-party tournaments on the KRAFTON India Esports platform. Each Club may register one active team (4–5 players), promoting balanced and competitive gameplay.
KRAFTON India associate director – esports, Karan Pathak said, “With the Player Transfer Window, we’re taking a significant step toward professionalizing esports operations in India. It gives players and Clubs a clear, transparent framework to manage rosters efficiently and responsibly, while laying the foundation for a more sustainable and globally aligned esports ecosystem.”
