THE INDIA vs PAKISTAN match at the Women’s T20 World Cup 2026 at Edgbaston drew a crowd of 18,814, the highest attendance ever recorded for a Women’s T20 World Cup group stage match.
The previous record of 15,935 was set in the same fixture at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium in October 2024, and was surpassed by nearly 3,000 at Edgbaston. The India-Pakistan rivalry has now broken the Women’s T20 World Cup group stage attendance record in consecutive editions of the tournament.
The Edgbaston attendance was close to the venue’s full capacity, adding to the ICC’s ambition of building on the momentum of the 2025 Women’s ODI World Cup in India, which drew 39,555 to its final at DY Patil. The India-Pakistan group stage match at that tournament recorded 28.4 million digital viewers across platforms.
