SAO PAULO: FC Diez Media, the IMG-owned business that manages the commercial rights of the South American Football Confederation (CONMEBOL) club competitions, today announced it has hired Felipe Lazaro as Head of Media.
With 18 years of experience in the international media rights business, Lazaro has conducted many negotiations and complex agreements. In his former position at Grupo Globo, he helped the company establish deals with some of the world’s biggest sporting events such as the NBA, UFC, and the Olympic Games. Most recently, Lazaro served as Media Sales Director at Infront Sports Media, based in Milan, Italy, a media release said.
“I am very excited to open this next chapter of my professional life and join the sensational team at FC Diez Media who, along with CONMEBOL, have transformed the confederation’s club competitions, bringing a new era of professionalism, determination, and competitiveness,” said Felipe Lazaro. “I cannot wait to start working with our team and our media partners so that together we can continue to take the CONMEBOL competitions to new heights, especially for the fans who love and follow the continent’s principal competitions.”
In his new role, Lazaro will be responsible for driving the growth of CONMEBOL’s competitions both regionally and internationally, and creating additional value through new and innovative partnerships that reach younger audiences.

Founded in 2018, IMG’s FC Diez Media has offices in Asunción, Paraguay, Buenos Aires, Argentina and São Paulo Brazil. Recently, the company renewed its agreement with CONMEBOL to manage the sale of broadcast rights, sponsorship and licensing for the CONMEBOL Libertadores, the CONMEBOL Sudamericana and the CONMEBOL Recopa until 2026.
