MUMBAI: Cricket superstar, Virat Kolhi, has become the first Indian to cross 250 million followers on the popular Instagram social media platform.
Globally, the 34-year-old is the third sportsperson with the most followers, only behind the football’s superstars, Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi. First-placed Ronaldo has 586 million followers, while Messi has 464 million followers.
The ongoing edition of the IPL was a good one for Kolhi, as he scored 639 runs in 14 matches, with two centuries and six fifties. He will next be seen in action in the World Test Championship final against Australia, to be played at The Oval in London, starting on June 7.
