GLOBAL FOOTWEAR BRAND Crocs has announced Indian cricketer KL Rahul as its newest brand ambassador with the launch of its latest campaign, ‘Play Hard. Rest Easy.’ Built around the brand’s Crocs Classic Clog, the campaign positions Crocs as the footwear of choice for the moments that surround sport, both on and off the field.
Known for his effortless style beyond the boundary rope and frequently seen wearing Crocs in his day-to-day life, Rahul brings an authentic connection to the partnership. Through this association, Crocs India aims to deepen its presence within sports culture while expanding its appeal among male consumers and sports-focused audiences across the country.
With ‘Play Hard. Rest Easy.’, the brand highlights the rituals that shape modern sport beyond match time. The campaign celebrates the moments before and after the game, preparation, travel, recovery and relaxation, where comfort and personal expression take centre stage. At the heart of these moments are the Classic Clogs, designed to deliver lightweight comfort and versatile style as athletes transition between performance and downtime.
The campaign film presents Rahul in a candid, relatable setting. As he steps out, his driver humorously remarks, “Bhaiya apne Crocs shoes ke bina kahin nahin jaate,” reflecting Rahul’s everyday connection with the brand’s footwear.
The narrative then shifts from his personal routine to match-day mode as he heads towards the team bus with his kit bag in hand. In a playful reference to his initials, Rahul quips, “The ‘KL’ in KL Rahul stands for Keep Light, and I am always KL-ing,” capturing the energy and constant movement that define his life as a professional cricketer.
The campaign will roll out across digital platforms, social media and retail touchpoints across India. To mark its launch, Crocs hosted an exclusive screening of the campaign film at PVR Lido, where Rahul unveiled the campaign to fans. Extending the celebrations beyond the premiere, the brand will also host a special on-ground activation at the Bandra–Worli Sea Link on 19-20 March.
