Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and chairman of the executive council, has announced that Dubai will host the World Sports Summit from December 29 to 30.
The announcement was made via his official handle on X.
Organised by the Dubai Sports Council, the summit aims to be a global platform bringing together athletes, coaches, investors, policymakers, and sports industry professionals to discuss the evolving landscape of global sports.
Key focus areas of the summit will include the economic viability of international sporting events, the role of emerging technologies, and how sports can be a tool for social impact and talent development. The two-day programme will include keynote addresses, panel discussions, and workshops designed to foster dialogue and knowledge exchange among attendees.
Sheikh Hamdan, known for his personal commitment to sports and physical well-being, has long supported initiatives that promote fitness and an active lifestyle in Dubai. The city’s annual Dubai Fitness Challenge, launched under his patronage, encourages residents to commit to 30 minutes of daily activity for 30 days.
Hosting the World Sports Summit reflects Dubai’s ongoing efforts to play a meaningful role in shaping the future of global sports while fostering innovation and inclusion within the industry.
