MCLAREN RACING has announced Groq, a provider of AI inference, as an official partner of the McLaren Formula 1 Team. From the 2025 Singapore Grand Prix, the Groq logo will feature on the team’s race cars.
The partnership will see McLaren integrate Groq’s custom LPU chip – a processor purpose-built for AI inference – to unlock fast, cost-efficient intelligence. Groq’s technology will power decision-making across the team, driving analysis, development, and real-time insights while enhancing the processing capabilities McLaren requires to perform at the highest level.
McLaren Racing co-chief commercial officer Nick Martin said, “Formula 1 is about performance under pressure, so we’re excited to begin working with Groq to help deliver inference at the speed we need to support us in our efforts to stay at the front of the grid.”
Groq chief marketing officer Chelsey Susin Kantor added, “McLaren and Groq share the same foundations: speed, precision, and the efficiency needed to win. We’re proud to deliver the high-performance, low-cost compute that fuels McLaren on the track and beyond.”
