CHANDIGARH: The Hero I League defending champions, Minerva Punjab FC have obtained the national as well as Asian Football Confederation (AFC) club license which allows them to compete in tournaments across Asia, should they qualify for them. The club owner, Ranjit Bajaj took to his personal Twitter account to announce the development on Saturday.
He posted the letter sent to him by the All India Football Federation (AIFF) dated 25 October stating the apex governing body’s approval of the club obtaining the license as it had fulfilled all the ‘A’ criteria requirements of the Indian Club Licensing Regulations (ICLR) 2018-19.
Bajaj had tweeted: ‘So happy and proud that @minervapunjabfc have passed the A criteria and have successfully been granted the AFC and national licence for the 2018/19 season.’
