MUMBAI: NBA India Thursday postponed the league’s dribble-a-thon event, which had been scheduled for Sunday, March 8 at the University of Rajasthan, Jaipur.
The following statement has been issued by NBA India managing director Rajesh Sethi: “Following the recommendation of state authorities regarding the developing situation related to the coronavirus in Jaipur, we have made the decision to reschedule the Dribble-a-thon to a later date.”
NBA’s first dribble-a-thon, a basketball challenge event featuring participants ages six and above dribbling a basketball across a one kilometer course, tipped off February 29 at Sports Complex, Sector 7, Chandigarh, and was to travel to multiple cities across India over the coming months, including Jaipur and Ghaziabad.
