Pinkathon runs with Zydus as lead partner for landmark 10th Mumbai edition

Pinkathon, India’s biggest women’s run, has joined hands with global innovation-led healthcare company Zydus Lifesciences Ltd in a purpose-led partnership to champion breast cancer awareness in India.

The landmark 10th edition of Mumbai Pinkathon will be held on December 21 at the MMRDA Grounds, BKC, marking a decade of inspiring women to embrace fitness, community, and self-care while raising awareness about women’s health and preventive action.

Launched in Mumbai in 2012 by actor, entrepreneur, and fitness advocate Milind Soman, Pinkathon has grown into a nationwide movement for empowerment through sport. Over the years, it has reached more than half a million women, facilitated free breast screenings for thousands, raised over ₹1 crore for underprivileged patients, and built a network of 1,000 ambassadors across 300 locations. With Zydus’ preventive-first vision strengthening its mission, Pinkathon 2025–26 will build further momentum for women’s health and awareness with a nine-month tour across Mumbai, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Chennai, and Delhi.

Celebrating a decade in Mumbai, the run will feature categories from 3 km, Lifelong 5 km, and 10 km to ultradistances of 50 km, 75 km, 100 km, and 100 km relay, welcoming both first-time runners and seasoned athletes.

Unveiling the 2025-26 Zydus Mumbai Pinkathon at a press conference at the Grand Hyatt, Santacruz, Pinkathon founder Milind Soman said: “At Pinkathon, our mission has always been to inspire every woman to take charge of her health and fitness while building a community of strength and inclusivity. With Zydus joining as title partner, we are amplifying this mission and urging women from all walks of life to make health a priority, integrating at least one physical activity into their daily lives, starting with running. Together, we are not only raising awareness of breast cancer but also driving preventive care and early detection, creating a movement that can transform women’s health across India.”

The launch event introduced this year’s Mumbai Pinkathon mascots, who will represent the spirit of the different race categories, embodying inclusivity and inspiration.

• Limitless 100 km – Ajit Kaur Dhillon
• Super 75 km – Dr. Bhavana Diyora
• Fabulous 50 km – Daksha Kanavia
• 10 km – Dipti Gandhi
• Lifelong 5 km – Devieka Bhojwani
• 3 km – Lavina Bhatia

This edition will also see the expansion of Invincible Women, an initiative launched in 2023 that challenges participants to test their endurance through ultradistances of 50 km, 75 km, 100 km, and 100 km relay, to other metropolitan cities, along with the third Mumbai edition. Alongside these, Pinkathon continues to offer its 3 km, Lifelong 5 km, and 10 km categories, ensuring that every woman finds a space to participate.

Invincible Women founder Ankita Konwar said: “As Pinkathon marks its 10th edition in Mumbai, it’s a reminder of how powerful this movement has become in inspiring women to prioritise their health. With the third edition of Invincible Women also unfolding here, we want to show that true competition lies within—pushing past our own limits, embracing fitness, and caring for our wellbeing. It’s about proving to ourselves what we’re capable of and carrying that strength into every part of life.”

Built on the pillars of women’s health, inclusivity, inspiration, and empowerment, Pinkathon’s 2025–26 edition aligns seamlessly with Zydus’ belief in healthcare as prevention. Through its Easiest Exam campaign, Zydus urges women to take a simple three-minute self-breast exam—an act of self-care that can save lives in a country where over 2 lakh women are diagnosed with breast cancer every year, and one woman dies every eight minutes due to late detection.

Speaking on the occasion, Zydus Lifesciences managing director Dr Sharvil Patel said: “With the Easiest Exam campaign, we seek to empower women with the knowledge that a simple 3-minute self-examination each month can make a life-saving difference. Joining hands with Pinkathon, we aim to reach many more women, raise awareness, and inspire collective action in the fight against breast cancer. We believe that raising awareness on women’s health and Breast cancer remains equally vital, as early detection has the power to save countless lives.”

The 10th Mumbai Pinkathon is further strengthened by the support of Lifelong as the fitness partner, Grand Hyatt Mumbai as the hospitality partner, and Maitrayana as the philanthropy partner, with the initiative also backed by Fit India and Sports Authority of India.

Over the years, Pinkathon has pioneered unique formats that redefine the spirit of women’s running, such as the Saree Run, Babywearing Mothers’ Walk, Cancer Shero Walk, Midnight Fearless Run, and the inclusion of visually impaired participants. These initiatives not only set Pinkathon apart but also reinforce its role as an inclusive movement that celebrates every woman. Together with Zydus Lifesciences, Pinkathon continues to grow as a powerful platform uniting fitness, awareness, and solidarity to fight breast cancer and empower women across India.
