MUMBAI: Experiential and OOH agency The Max partnered with the All India Football Federation for the launch of the FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup INDIA 2020 emblem launch that took place at Mumbai’s iconic Gateway of India at the weekend.
The Max, a joint venture between Tribes group and DDB, was mandated to create an iconic event – to announce mark exactly one year to go for the arrival of a tournament of this magnitude.
The Gateway Of India was a fitting choice to reveal the emblem, a private event that would host dignitaries from India as well as around the world.
Gour Gupta, managing director Tribes Group, said: “This was a one month long endeavor to create something spectacular, a journey that wasn’t easy due to the weather conditions prevailing in Mumbai, but we delivered.”
Gupta, who owns the brand The Max, said: “We are in the business of creating unforgettable experiences, this emblem launch will surely be remembered for a long time to come.”
On November 2, a closed event took place at the Gateway of India, which hosted dignitaries like Union Sports Minister Kiran Rijiju, All India Foodball Federation president Praful Patel, chief women’s football officer for FIFA Sarai Bareman, and a host of other athletes, who took to the stage with inspirational words about the power of sports and the power of women in sports within the country and around the world.
The emblem was launched through a 3D Mapping projection created for the event, which showcased the story and the coming together of the emblem. The Gateway Of India took on the colour of the FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup.
“This was a historic moment that we are proud to associated with, curating an unforgettable experience and telling a story has always been our prerogative and this is a fitting example of that,” said Sanjay Shukla, COO, The Max.
