WORLD LEGENDS PRO T20 LEAGUE (WLPTL) has named Goa Tourism as its ‘Powered By’ sponsor for the league’s inaugural season, which will be held from 26 January at the 1919 Cricket Stadium in Verna, Goa.
The debut edition will feature 90 players across six teams, bringing together a host of global cricketing greats. International stars such as Shane Watson, Dale Steyn, Jacques Kallis, Chris Gayle and Faf du Plessis will take part, alongside Indian icons including Shikhar Dhawan, Dinesh Karthik and Harbhajan Singh. The tournament will give fans in Goa a rare chance to see some of the finest T20 players of all time competing live, per the media release.
With its arrival in Goa, the WLPTL adds a major international sporting attraction to the state’s well-known blend of beaches, cuisine and festivals. Showcasing some of the most recognisable names in world cricket, the league is set to become a key draw for both local supporters and visiting fans.
